2020 has been a strange year for everyone and Design daily’s experience has been no different although for perhaps different reasons. The main abnormality (apart from the omnipresent global pandemic) was the release of a book….A Century of Colour in Design published by Thames & Hudson Australia. With a deadline of end of March the book was finally released on the 29th September. If you haven’t already seen it, please check it out via Amazon or Booktopia or in a bookstore near you. It’s a lovely little package, chock full of beautiful designs and interesting back stories about how the products came about. Hopefully it appeals to design boffins and novices alike.
Late 2020 has been taken up with various interior projects and photo shoots and these have prevented the normal volume of blog posts from happening - something I hope can be corrected in the coming year.
To those who haven’t given up on Design daily’s sporadic output my sincere thanks and I vow to do better next year.
Have a great Christmas and New Year and enjoy your holidays, even if these are at home rather than somewhere exotic on the other side of the world. Remember 2020 is just a blip in time and totally irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. To quote the 90’s dance anthem by D:ream , THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER. Design daily is looking forward to an incredibly inspiring year of design in 2021 and has a strong belief that a huge amount of amazing work will come from the trials and tribulations of 2020.
